Nutanix Strengthens Acropolis Platform
Nutanix has released version 4.5 release of its Acropolis platform with new features and improvements for running enterprise applications.
A new VM Flash Mode feature provides the ability within Acropolis Distributed Storage Fabric (DSF) to pin critical QoS-sensitive virtual machines to the SSD tier in a cluster, delivering all-flash performance in a hybrid system. Added infrastructure resilience is provided by the new Erasure Coding feature.
Acropolis App Mobility Fabric (AMF) strengthens built-in virtualisation for business-critical workloads by providing the ability to restart user VMs automatically on an available host after a host failure or planned maintenance event. AMF also now gives administrators the ability to upload, manage and convert images in a cluster, and makes it easy to migrate existing ESXi VMs to Acropolis through automated scripts.
