NetApp announces launch of E-Pod

NetApp has announced the official launch of E-Pod, a cost-effective converged infrastructure solution which allows businesses to accelerate their move to virtualisation and improve their IT user experience.

With much of the focus being given to larger organisations when it comes to addressing converged infrastructure, E-Pod offers a converged infrastructure platform that is specifically design for SMB organisations.

E-Pod leverages the strength of the NetApp and Cisco technology alliance to deliver best-of-breed server, storage and networking components. E-Pod is architected with small business and remote office deployments in mind, and offered at a price point that recognises the budget constraints of smaller organisations.

Components include the NetApp E-Series, Cisco UCS C-Series Server (Rack Mount) and Cisco Catalyst 500 Switching. NetApp have also introduced 3 simple bundles; small, medium and large, to support different businesses.
