Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I keep the box if I like it? This is a pure demo/PoC program. You would place an order for a new system through SCC after returning the system.
Does the 2 weeks start when the box is shipped? The 2 weeks only begin when you receive the system onsite .
What happens when the box is delivered? We deliver the box via courier. You MUST retain packaging, ensuring product is repackaged at the end of test.
Can IBM help with setting the box up? SCC will be able to assist you with the setup and testing
Am I entering into any commitment to purchase a system? This is entirely a demo/PoC program. You do not have any obligation to purchase a system from IBM.
Do I have to arrange for return? SCC handle all logistics on behalf of IBM and will arrange collection of the box as agreed and we will stay in touch with you during testing.
Can I loan more than one system, for testing HyperSwap for example? Yes this is possible and we have completed numerous successful HyperSwap high -availability tests with 2 x FlashSystem 5200 onsite.
Can I loan Copy Services Manager software for testing of SafeGuarded Copy / IBM Cyber Vault? SCC can arrange a free 6 month trial of Copy Services Manager for Safeguarded Copy for you.
Can I have the system for longer than 2 weeks? 2 weeks has proven to be ample time. Extensions are possible in extreme cases but only via prior approval which you can discuss directly with SCC
