SCC has been awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, the Ministry of Defence’s highest recognition for organisations that demonstrate exceptional support for the Armed Forces community.
The Gold Award recognises employers that go above and beyond in supporting veterans, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and military families through their employment practices, policies and advocacy.
Building on its previous Silver Award, SCC successfully demonstrated its continued commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant by providing evidence of enhanced support for the Armed Forces community. This included strengthened HR policies, advocacy across its supplier network, support for partner organisations signing the Armed Forces Covenant, and initiatives to recruit, develop and support veterans and reservists within the business.

The Employer Recognition Scheme recognises organisations that actively demonstrate support for defence personnel and their families, encouraging employers to advocate for the Armed Forces community and inspire others to do the same.
