Education Prepares for a Busy Summer
Educational institutions are expected to invest strongly in IT this summer as they look to get classrooms and infrastructure up to speed ahead of the next full school year. With continued uncertainty over funding and further dialogue over the government’s plans for schools yet to take place, institutions will be looking to make the best possible use of their budgets.
Many will be looking to upgrade to Windows 10 and implement new tablet or 2-in-1 devices, or upgrade wireless infrastructure and security. There is also strong interest in all-in-one desktops, the new range of very small-footprint PCs with VESA docking options, virtualised desktops and Chrome devices.
Interactivity is a major theme in learning now and cost-effective collaboration solutions, such as Chromebox for Meetings and Barco’s ClickShare, and the potential of Chrome devices to drive digital signage are also going to be attractive to schools. Ergonomic and space-saving desk stands, like those offered by Egotron, and a wide range of secure mobile device charging cabinets are also available.
There will be numerous special offers and promotions available for education on all these products and more throughout the summer.
