Public Sector
It has never been more important to optimise an investment in IT to deliver cost efficiencies and customer service improvement. This is as relevant to public sector organisations as it is to private sector ones. With its focus on collaborative working to deliver high performing commercial capability, SCC uses its sector expertise to maximise value for money and minimise risk to protect the public interest.
Focus Areas:
• Local Regional Government
• Healthcare
• Education
• Defence
• Central Government & Intelligence
We work with a broad range of organisations to address key business issues, such as Agile Working, Collaboration, Operational Efficiency, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Environment. We can offer reassurance around compliance utilising a range of frameworks such as Catalist, SPRINT, MOD, ESPO and Value Wales. In addition, to a supply chain that we continually challenge to deliver smart and responsible procurement practice.
Our service track record across the Public Sector is both demonstrable and enviable. We deliver savings and have operational efficiencies for a range of national and local organisations, including HM Revenue & Customs, Leeds City Council, University of Derby, DE&S and a number of NHS establishments.
We also understand the importance of the sustainability agenda and place corporate and social responsibility at the heart of our operations, working hard to deliver best practice and meet our obligations around key standards. This might include transforming GREEN IT policy into positive action, our policies around ethical marketing, diversity in the workplace and stakeholder engagement. Not forgetting, the implication of financial decisions and our focus on adding value.
CAESER (Corporate assessment of Economic, Social and Environmental Responsibility)
SCC is leading the way in its response to the Government's sustainable procurement agenda, becoming one of the first adopters of CAESER, an online toolkit helping companies to demonstrate a commitment to society and the environment.
Tracy Westall, UK Public Sector Sales Director, said: "As a responsible business, we have long strived to ensure sustainable practices. Whilst, as an important supplier to Government we are particularly keen to support its efforts to meet targets on key issues, such as CO2 emissions. However, without a proven structure in place for so doing, it has been difficult to illustrate our approach. The introduction of CAESER provides a benchmark process that has never been available before now.
"Since being introduced to CAESER by the Home Office, we have accelerated the need to challenge our suppliers around sustainable development. Our ambition is to implement CAESER across our supply chain to highlight risk areas and provide services through CATALIST and SPRINT (framework agreements). This will reassure and benefit Public Sector organisations looking to buy products and services.”
