Check Point Security Credentials Validated with Cyber Essentials Plus Awards

AwardCheck Point is proud to announce that we have received two ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ awards under the British Government’s Cyber Essentials Accreditation Scheme.

The British Ambassador to Israel, David Quarrey, officially presented the accreditations as part of the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials Scheme. Launched in 2014, the Cyber Essentials Scheme serves as part of the National Cyber Security Strategy to help British organizations bolster their defenses against cyber-attack.

Meeting the Criteria

The Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation offers a higher level of assurance by externally testing an organisation’s cyber security approach. The assessment was conducted in Tel Aviv by British Cyber Essentials Certification Body, SJG Digital, who visited us at our HQ in Tel Aviv to perform an in-depth analysis of the information systems.

Check Point is the first Israeli cyber-security vendor to be awarded two accreditations under the scheme, certifying that we successfully met several stringent criteria to help protect information and IT systems against cyber threats. Both our internal processes and our cloud-based threat prevention service, Check Point Capsule Cloud, met the basic and advanced criteria required to prevent cyber-attacks.

Setting the Standard

The awards assure that neither Check Point nor our solutions are vulnerable to common internet based threats, offering reliable protection of organizations’ data and intellectual property. The accreditations serve our commitment to making the Internet a safer place while certifying that our own internal processes, and those of our solutions, exceeding independent security standards. Achieving the certifications is further evidence that, through Check Point Infinity, our customers are always one step ahead of the threat environment while benefiting from the very same technology that we use within our own networks.

Joanne Austin, who led the assessment on Check Point, observed: “Check Point set the standard that others can now follow, going far beyond achieving the essentials”; while David Quarrey, the British Ambassador to Israel, commented: “Presenting this British award to Check Point today is an extremely proud moment for me. To see the award presented internationally is extremely humbling.”
