UK Firms Keen to Keep Spending on Innovation Post Brexit
A CBI survey has found that 70% of businesses plan to increase or maintain their innovation spending to ensure the UK’s industry continues to thrive after Brexit. Top priorities include greater access to technical skills (68%) and increasing collaboration and partnership (65%).
Carolyn Fairbairn, Director General of the CBI, said: “Innovation is the nucleus of future economic and social development, so it is encouraging that seven out of ten firms will keep up – or even raise – their spending on new technologies and work practices to grow their business.”
