SCC, Europe’s biggest independent technology solutions provider, has partnered with Rubrik, the data security company, to help its UK customers better protect their data and applications against growing security threats and ransomware attacks. The partnership is designed to enhance SCC’s ‘next-generation data protection’ solution, which is focused on data sources and applications being deployed in new hybrid environments, as opposed to traditional on-premises services. As a result, SCC customers can evolve and innovate with new services whilst enabling data and business value to be protected without the constraints, complexity and limits imposed by traditional backup and recovery solutions. Adam Clark, National Sales Director at SCC, said: “The value of data and information is now greater than ever, with existing and new data sources and applications driving higher business value and intelligence. Protecting this data, its applications and the services being consumed is critical to success. With the evolution of applications and services now being deployed in a ubiquitous manner between on-premise data centres, hosted environments and public cloud, this new approach requires new capabilities in data security. “We are delighted to have partnered with Rubrik, which will enhance our existing next-generation data protection solution and further help our customers protect against growing threats such as ransomware and other malicious attacks against data access, availability and integrity. The partnership is great news for SCC customers, and we are looking forward to building a long-lasting partnership with one of the IT industry’s new leaders in data management.”
Rubrik helps enterprises to drive cyber and business resiliency, cloud mobility, and regulatory compliance. It protects data and applications from ransomware, natural disasters, and operational failures. Dean Yates, RVP, Western Europe said, “Rubrik continues to set the pace of innovation in the industry by addressing the most pressing data challenges for UK enterprises – rapid recovery from ransomware, automation of data operations and the transition of data to the cloud. We are thrilled to partner with SCC to bring these offerings to our joint customers and provide Zero Trust data protection for their hybrid cloud environments.”
The new partnership will be focused on three core areas:
Rubrik for Microsoft 365
— Millions of enterprises rely on Microsoft 365 for cloud-based communication and document management, capturing immeasurable volumes of data. Rubrik orchestrates policy-based protection of Microsoft 365 via its Polaris SaaS platform, offering unprecedented simplicity and performance for search and restore operations for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
Rubrik for Ransomeware Remediation
— Cyber resiliency and the need for faster ransomware recovery from backups that cannot be compromised is more important than ever. Rubrik stores data in an immutable format following a zero trust architecture, preventing ransomware from ever accessing changing or encrypting data, and uses AI to identify unusual behaviour.
Cloud Data Management for NetApp
— Enterprises require IT teams to not only manage all of the infrastructure for mission-critical applications, but also to deliver new services that drive competitive advantage. Rubrik’s Zero Trust approach to data management protects, automates, and secures applications across data centres and cloud environments, eliminating manual backup job scheduling with a single SLA policy engine for automated backup, recovery, and archival to public or private cloud – including NetApp StorageGRID.
