James Rigby takes part in Princes Trust Initiative Million Makers

SCC’s charity partner, The Princes Trust, runs the Million Makers – an award winning, entrepreneurial fundraising challenge.

The Million Makers initiative sees teams of employees, from organisations across the UK, developing their business skills by turning an initial seed funding investment into as much money as possible for The Prince’s Trust. The challenge collectively raises over £1million every year to change the lives of unemployed young people across the UK. As part of this initiative James Rigby has donated his time to join a panel of four Dragons judging two entrepreneur groups’ dragons den style pitches of their fundraising plans. Both teams from New Look and Babcock had only 15 minutes to complete their pitch and impress the Dragons to secure their seed funding. The Dragons then challenge their proposal and offer advice and mentoring to help the teams develop and improve their projects. The Dragons had to be sure that the projects presented to them were robust enough to have a high chance of success to raise the funds for The Princes Trust. Congratulations to both teams New Look and Babcock who impressed the judges and were granted the seed funding to start their project to raise money for the Princes Trust. James Rigby
