SCC officially opens new sales office in the heart of Leeds

Wednesday, 13 November 2019 – SCC, Europe’s biggest independent IT services and solutions business, has officially opened its new sales office in the heart of Leeds at a special reception attended by Northern Powerhouse leaders alongside senior SCC management. SCC’s decision to open a new sales office at 1 Wellington Place in Leeds is built upon the continued growth its North West commercial business team has achieved in recent years. The move follows SCC’s announcement of its sixth successive year of record earnings, with revenues of £2.2bn for the financial year ending 31 March 2019. The official Leeds office opening was hosted by Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive of Rigby Group, SCC’s parent company, Sir Peter Rigby, and SCC Chief Executive James Rigby. Special guests included Andrew Cooper, Chief Executive of Leeds Bid. The event was preceded by an IT and Business Leaders Breakfast Briefing, also hosted by SCC, at the nearby Aspire Hotel, where a number of senior regional business leaders were introduced to SCC, its new Leeds branch Manager James Simpson and a recent success story with strategic SCC customer Tricia Williams, Chief Customer Officer of Manchester Airports Group (MAG), before taking part in a lively panel debate on Digital Transformation. SCC Chief Executive James Rigby said: “In order to further scale and develop the business, a presence in the Yorkshire region, in a modern and dynamic business district with close links to the UK rail network, is key. Leeds has the largest legal, finance and professional services market outside of London, and SCC aims to show these clients that as a local IT services provider, we can transform their current IT and business processes.” SCC will join a wide variety of high-profile development neighbours at its new location in Wellington Place, including Equifax, Sky Betting & Gaming, Willis Towers Watson, Equifax and Irwin Mitchell. NHS Digital and Channel 4 are just a short walk away from the new site. SCC’s new Leeds office is the company’s latest investment in its commercial premises, with SCC’s UK headquarters currently undergoing a £7m refurbishment. The Birmingham site is being completely remodelled and upgraded to better meet the needs of SCC’s Midlands workforce.
