SCC launches new Scotland HQ and growth target

SCC, the international IT solutions provider, which employs 44 people in Scotland, has invested £100,000+ in new Scotland headquarters, located at Interchange Business Park in Livingston.

The move is expected to create dozens of new jobs, as part of ambitious long-term growth plans, with SCC, targeting 20% growth in Scotland this year and 40% over the next five years.

SCC currently turns over £38 million in Scotland. The firm was founded by Sir Peter Rigby in 1975 and opened its first Scotland office in Glasgow in 1986. SCC has grown to become a £3bn international group, employing more than 3,000 people in the UK.

SCC works extensively across Scotland, most notably in the public sector, with significant presence in NHS Scotland for more than 20 years, as well as in education and emergency services. The firm has built a strong commercial portfolio, supporting mid-market businesses in the legal and professional, energy, transport, manufacturing, utilities, and FS&I sectors.

SCC is investing heavily in people and services to expand its specialist IT solutions and drive digital transformation. Earlier this year, Rigby Group, SCC’s parent company, announced in a £300m technology programme to accelerate growth across SCC’s territories in the UK, France, and Spain over the next five years. The company is targeting acquisitions and investments to expand its portfolio with new and innovative services.

Lindsey Hunter, Country Manager for Scotland and NI at SCC, has been appointed to lead SCC’s Scotland & NI business. She has worked for SCC in various customer-facing roles for more than two decades.

Lindsey commented: “This is an exciting time for SCC and in particular for our business in Scotland. We’ve got ambitious plans to grow by 40% over the next five years, including the creation of dozens jobs in sales, services, and engineering. I’m thrilled to have been appointed to lead SCC’s Scotland business. Our new office in Livingston is just the beginning, as we continue to invest in the local economy and in extending our partnerships with Scottish businesses, including considerable support across NHS Scotland.

The formal office opening took place on Thursday, 24th August 2023. The event was attended by senior leaders from SCC’s UK business and technology partners to network, celebrate, and enjoy refreshments.
