SCC France announces its collaboration with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee. As a partner of one of the most significant sporting events ever organised in France, SCC will demonstrate its expertise by managing the procurement and supply of IT, AV, print and mobile equipment as well as the associated delivery, installation and maintenance services. SCC France will also ensure that all the equipment is redistrubted after the event, guaranteeing a second life for the devices and contributing to the committee’s ambitions in terms of digital responsibility and the circular economy.
Through this strategic announcement, SCC France is deploying all of its organisational, technical and human expertise across the entire lifecycle chain of IT and audiovisual equipment for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues, in order to ensure sustainable performance and meet particularly demanding service commitments, and to contribute to making this global event a real success. At the end of the Games, SCC will take back the equipment used for Paris 2024 thanks to one of its subsidiaries, an adapted company employing more than 65% of people with disabilities, and will ensure the return and processing of the equipment for reconditioning or recycling.
This unique collaboration will also be an opportunity for SCC to pursue its transformation initiative by involving its employees, technology partners and customers. It is therefore a high point in the history of the group, driven by structural values such as team spirit, excellence, surpassing ourselves and respect for diversity.
Didier LEJEUNE, CEO of SCC France said: “We are proud to be one of the Partners of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee. We will be setting up a system to enable the organisers to create a unique experience. This is a great opportunity for our group to showcase its values, to unify its teams and its ecosystem and to highlight its expertise. SCC France is demonstrating its desire to participate in universal projects driven by human, sporting and commitment values.”
Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024 added: “We are delighted to welcome SCC France to the family of Paris 2024 Partners. Together, we will take up the huge IT and technological challenge represented by the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which are the biggest event in the world. It is not only their expertise, but also their commitment to more sustainable technology that will make all the difference. The complete life cycle management of SCC France’s IT equipment and its reuse to limit digital waste are concrete examples that are perfectly in line with our ambition to organise the Games with a reduced impact on the environment and to contribute to a new, more responsible event model. Thank you to SCC France for their commitment and this new partnership for the success of the Games!”
