SCC extends reach into education sector as inaugural Panel Member on enFrame framework

Framework award sees SCC deliver solutions to UK multi-academy trusts for the first time

SCC, Europe’s biggest independent IT solutions provider, has been appointed as an inaugural Panel Member on the new enFrame ICT Framework. The framework enables schools, academy trusts, and other institutions to procure a wide range of ICT and technology services in an easy-to-use format, from accredited Panel Members. enFrame is a Community Interest Company (CIC) underpinned by a desire to change how Public Sector procurement works. Its founders have experience over many years assisting public sector bodies in procuring a range of goods and services. The enFrame ICT Framework enables significant cost savings and makes the procurement process more efficient and effective, and introducing a strong social value agenda into procurement. As part of the award process, each supplier was asked to consider and demonstrate how they will reduce customers’ carbon footprints wherever possible, with the ICT Framework underpinned by enFrame’s values to fight climate change and its goal ‘every school Net Zero by 2035’. SCC was one of just six suppliers successful in Phase 1 Lot 1: Strategic Partnering Services and Lot 2: Support Services and will deliver solutions to UK multi-academy trusts for the first time, extending its reach into the education sector and building on 20+ years’ experience working with higher education customers. Eleanor Platt, Director at enFrame, said: “We have designed this framework to enable our customers to procure the most frequently required elements of any ICT solution in a comprehensive framework which enables them to get the most from their provision and tailor services to meet their exact requirements. Customers can procure through a single lot, any combination of lots, or all lots in a single procurement, depending on requirements. “As a Community Interest Company, social value and community is something we take very seriously. All our procurements are driven by social value and two thirds of our profits are committed to a social investment fund, which we use to award grants to projects that fight climate change and enhance young peoples’ life chances.” Rebecca Tyler, Branch Manager for Education at SCC, said: “We’re delighted to be awarded as a Panel Member on this new framework, which highlights the continued hard work and investment we’re making in widening our reach and capability in the education sector. We have a long and successful history working with higher education customers and the enFrame ICT Framework enables multi-academy trusts to benefit from our specialist expertise and breadth of services for the first time, at a critical time for digital transformation in schools.” Richard Reader, Head of Public Sector at SCC, said: “The enFrame ICT Framework presents a wonderful opportunity both for schools looking to improve the way they deliver education and for SCC to increase the work we do right across the public sector. We are particularly pleased to be awarded as a Panel Member by enFrame, a Community Interest Company with social value at its heart. SCC’s inclusion as one of just six suppliers of both lots demonstrates our commitment to social value and delivering sustainable solutions to our customers.”
