A global trade credit insurance provider faced the prospect of major disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As an SCC customer, they tasked us with minimising this disruption and keeping the business operational throughout this unprecedented period.
Working in close partnership with the customer’s Group IT Director, SCC’s on-site BAU Support Team, remained in the office and worked overtime after the customer’s entire workforce was sent home. In under two weeks – including two working weekends – the team had extended the customer’s existing remote working capability to every single employee, including an upgraded remote access solution to cope with increased volume, to enhance its normal Business Continuity capability.
Throughout this time, the team regularly updated the customer with connectivity statistics, performance monitoring and capacity by office, region and country. In addition, SCC’s Professional Services team was able to design and implement a brand-new RAS environment, leveraging our long-standing vendor relationships to get 1,000 additional licenses and new enterprise grade remote access devices delivered within days of order.
The Group IT Director said: “Thank you for all the support given to get us working remotely. Our business community has been running remotely without issues for a full week and everybody is really happy. SCC has done a really great job for us, working day and night. The great achievement is that we now have the whole company remotely working without any restrictions. A major success and just reward for our colleagues in SDI and SCC who have worked so hard and so well together over the past three weeks to get to this point.”
