A major catering, facilities management, employee benefits and personal and home services company had an urgent requirement to enable widespread remote working in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including increased collaboration tools, such as Skype for Business (SfB).

SCC quickly and efficiently enabling SfB on Sentinel by SCC, our secure, fully credited, Pan-Government approved cloud platform, so it could be rolled out across an entire department of 2,000 users who work on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

In addition to enabling SfB on Sentinel by SCC, we also provided 2,500 mobile phones to enable remote communication with clients, 180 RAS tokens, a brand-new RAS/Pulse environment to handle increased user volume, and WhatsApp as part of the organisation’s MDM setup, all at extremely short notice.

Following an initial pilot of 150 users, SCC expects to see adoption increase across the estate and delivered the complete, end-to-end solution in just eight days.
