SCC Donate HP Refurbished Devices to STAR Small Heath Academy Through Inspiring Futures Programme
SCC is proud to announce a new donation of seven HP Renew Devices via SCC Recyclea to STAR Small Heath Leadership Academy, a Birmingham-based school participating in The Rigby Foundation’s Inspiring Futures programme.
The donation is made possible through SCC’s long-standing partnership with HP, our colleagues taking part in this initiative at its recent Mid Year conference, and reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, inclusion and educational opportunity. HP Renew is the company’s official refurbishment programme, and SCC Recyclea is officially certified to provide high-quality refurbished products that meet rigorous standards. SCC Recyclea was the first authorised reseller in the UK to be granted permission to sell HP Renew products, reinforcing its leadership in responsible technology solutions.
The devices will be used to support digital learning and enrichment activities at STAR Small Heath, where students have already benefited from Inspiring Futures partnerships with organisations such as Action Tutoring, Debate Mate, Envision, Skills Builder, and Place2Be.
The Rigby Foundation’s Inspiring Futures programme connects schools with strategic partners to deliver academic tutoring, essential skills development, post-16 pathways and mental health support. STAR Small Heath is an active partner on this the programme, with over 70 students engaged this term and staff reporting a surge in student confidence and aspiration.
This donation marks a new chapter in the collaboration between SCC and The Rigby Foundation, demonstrating how corporate partnerships can drive real impact in local communities.

“We’re thrilled to support STAR Small Heath Leadership Academy with these devices,” said Matthew Rigby, HP Partner Manager at SCC “It’s not just about donating technology, it’s about unlocking potential and helping young people take their next best steps.”
“This is a brilliant example of what Inspiring Futures is about and can support,” added Sonia Chhatwal, Executive Director of The Rigby Foundation. “Bringing together business, education, and philanthropy to create lasting change.”
The donated devices will be delivered on the 17th December and integrated into STAR Small Heath’s enrichment and digital access programmes.
