SCC acquires Grupo Omega, IT partner specialising in solutions and services

European technology solutions and services providerSCC has acquired Spanish IT services provider Grupo Omega, bringing together two companies with  more than 30 years of history in the Spanish market.

Grupo Omega has is headquartered in Barcelona and has branches in Madrid, Bilbao, Pamplona and Valladolid. The acquisition coincides with the 50th anniversary of Rigby Group, SCC’s parent company founded in the United Kingdom.

With the common goal of aligning technological solutions with business, both companies have a strong presence in Spain and a robust customer base in the public and private sectors, which places them as a significant IT partner.

The synergies between the two organisations, their extensive knowledge of the sector, their stability and experience in Spain, combined with their wide offering of IT solutions and services, will enable this acquisition to drive SCC’s operations in Spain, combining local activity with the significant advantage of being part of a private, family-owned independent European multinational group.

The acquisition takes SCC Spain to a total of 400 talented professionals in Spain, who join the more than 7,000 already working across the European Group.

Bound together by a series of shared values and a commitment demonstrated over decades of development in a highly changeable sector, the resulting team will undoubtedly be a factor for future success which, with the support of leading IT solution vendors, will become one of the top players on the national scene.
