SCC employees donate to local foodbank

SCC is built on the fundamental principle of reinvesting back into people and the communities in which we serve, which is why we’re proud to have hosted a successful food collection initiative across several of our UK offices in December. So many of you came together to show your #StrongerTogether spirit and give generously to help those less fortunate during the Christmas season, in partnership with Trussell’s Trust. Food parcels containing substantial donations from you and your SCC colleagues were distributed to Trussell’s Trust foodbanks throughout the country and gifted to families in our local communities, providing balanced meals and festive treats for those that need it most. By way of thanks for your amazing contribution, SCC added 20 Christmas food hampers to our donation, which altogether helped families facing hardship put food on the table this year. A member from the Sparkhill food bank in Birmingham wrote: “Thank you to everyone at SCC for the large donation of items for our foodbank, delivered to our church hall just before Christmas. A lot of time and effort clearly went into organising the collection. Your kind donations were taken to our central warehouse, where they were sorted and distributed throughout our network covering most of Southeast Birmingham. “In total, during the 2021 Calendar year, Sparkhill Foodbank helped feed 9,410 adults and 4,871 children. It is only with donations such as yours that we can provide this service. We want to thank and offer our best wishes to all those who gave so generously.”
