2019 was a tremendous year of growth and progress for The Prince’s Trust as a result of SCC and The Rigby Group’s continued support.
The Prince’s Trust was able to reach more than 65,000 young people across the UK throughout the year. In 70% of cases a positive outcome was achieved – this meant more young people were able to secure jobs, pursue education and training.
The Rigby Foundation, in conjunction with SCC, is committed to supporting The Prince’s Trust and helping the wider community. This commitment has contributed to an increase in The Prince’s Trust activities across the UK; in the West Midlands alone, 4,200 young people engaged in a variety of positive and life-changing programmes throughout 2019. In the Greater Birmingham area 2,944 young people were engaged in programmes.
SCC has been instrumental in expediting the charity agenda of The Rigby Group. The Prince’s Trust is one of SCC’s three chosen charities that it supports, alongside Molly Olly’s Wishes and Mind. Throughout the year, SCC partakes in various fundraising and awareness campaigns for these charities.
Olida Khanom, Corporate Partnerships Fundraising Executive at The Prince’s Trust talks about the charity partnership between SCC and The Prince’s Trust, “SCC are a highly valued supporter of The Prince’s Trust. Their commitment to helping young people in their local community is shown through their support of our skills hub in Birmingham. With their support we are able to help more young people transform their lives and give them an increasing stake in our economy and society.”
We look forward to the year ahead and seeing how our continued efforts along with The Rigby Group can help The Prince’s Trust’s young people in Birmingham and beyond.
