Earlier this year, SCC signed the Armed Forces Covenant and were awarded Bronze in the Employer Recognition Scheme. We’re delighted to announce that we have now been awarded Silver in the Employer Recognition Scheme. Achieving the Silver Award in the Employer Recognition Scheme is an acknowledgment that as a company we have gone above and beyond to support the armed forces community. However, we recognise there’s so much more we can do. We have ambitious plans over the next few years to ensure our people, community, and the environment thrive and endeavour to go even further to support armed forces personnel at SCC and within the community. What Is the Armed Forces Covenant? To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you. It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.
