SCC Supports 7th Annual Molly Olly Golf Day

SCC took part in the 7th Annual Molly Olly Golf day, organised by charity Molly Olly’s Wishes. Taking place at Fulford Heath Golf Club on Tuesday 2nd July, SCC helped in fundraising for the good cause, leading the charity to make a total of £22,000. The charity helps support children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses, as well as their families, and is one of SCC’s chosen charities for this year. Molly Olly’s Wishes had arranged the event originally for June, but had to been postponed due to poor weather. Luckily the majority of teams were still able to attend the new date, including a team from SCC. The course was in excellent condition and all enjoyed the game. After playing golf, the teams were invited to a sit-down meal with a live, silent auction. Rachel Ollerenshaw, trustee at Molly Olly’s Wishes, said, “We were very grateful for the support from SCC and all the golfers that enabled us to raise more than £22,000 to help support children with life-threatening illnesses.” She continued, “We have received more wishes this year than previous years and it means a lot to be able to make those dark days brighter whether it be with a wish, an Olly the Brave pack or other support, so a big thank you from all Team Molly Olly to everyone involved. Together we can make a difference.” Molly Olly Golf Day 2019
