- UK revenues increase to £665.30m (3.5% growth)

SCC, Europe’s largest privately owned technology solutions provider, has released a set of financial results revealing continued positive growth for the year ending 31 March 2013.
Despite challenging trading conditions and distortions created by last year’s disposal of distribution arm SDG, SCC’s UK revenues grew 3.5% over the financial year to £665.30m, accompanied by an unprecedented level of major contract wins that leaves the company well positioned to record major growth over the course of FY14.
Revenues also continued to increase at the company’s operations in Europe, recording a continental growth rate of 2.2% to £906.7m.
SCC CEO James Rigby commented: “After a pivotal year in which we have seen the sale of SDG enable us to focus on our core business and the opportunities facing it, SCC is now in a very strong position. With revenues increasing across the business and a record number of major contract wins under our belt, we are now proactively seeking service-led acquisitions to expand the company’s capabilities.
SCC is well positioned for year ending 31 March 2014 following an unprecedented number of large managed services annuity contract acquisitions in its strongest ever period of new business wins. These contracts, which alone account for up to £50 million-worth of revenue, include deals with Marie Curie Cancer Care, Wales & West Utilities, Konica Minolta and GIST, among others.
The company’s Sentinel by SCC, for which SCC was the first UK provider to achieve Pan-Government Accreditation, continued to grow following a £3m Cloud service contract with Mersey Care NHS Trust.
This year SCC UK showcased early adopters and innovative Cloud solutions from SME software vendors, the likes of which included FutureGov, Alliantist, IIZUKA and NQC ltd. The firm’s presence in the public sector also advanced due to large wins with Oxfordshire County Council and Birmingham Community Healthcare.
In collaboration with high-profile organisations such as the BBC and NEC Group (ICC), SCC UK’s Visual Communications division has gone from strength-to-strength. Two additional unified comms projects at the BBC’s New Broadcasting House in London followed an initial fit out of the Media City site in Salford.
SCC UK’s strong performance was underpinned by award wins across its divisions; named Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recycler of the Year at the National Recycling Awards 2013 and recipient of the Oracle Excellence Award for Specialized Partner of the Year – Europe, Middle East, and Africa in Systems and Storage.
