SCC has announced that it has achieved Premier level partnership status with storage giants EMC in the fastest time ever recorded by a UK provider.
From a standing start on the 1st April SCC has smoothly moved through the accreditation gears with its newest storage partner to reach Premier Level. Taking just 3 months to train a full team to the required levels while simultaneously achieving a storage specialisation with a focus on VNX and Isilon, Europe’s largest independent technology solutions brand has again demonstrated the determination and ability required to attain and develop the skills it requires as the business continues to move forward into new areas and specialisms.
Andy Wright, Vendor Alliances Director at SCC said: “Obviously we are delighted to have completed the accreditation process with EMC so quickly. It marks a new beginning in our relationship with one of the world’s best known storage providers and will represent a key part of our offering going forward.”
Although completed in record time, achieving the coveted accreditation required a significant commitment from SCC. During the three month period the company’s specialist team spent a combined 60 days working through EMC’s online and classroom technical sessions and passing the critical exams.
SCC’s Head of Solutions Architecture Charlie Cornish commented: “This was a tough task for the team, as we have been engaging with some complex technologies while simultaneously working towards some really tight timelines. On top of this the guys had to keep doing their day jobs and helping everyone drive the enterprise business forward.”
Andy Wright commented: “This has been great news, but the hard work is not over as SCC wish to reach the highest level of EMC accreditation, which is Signature. The plan is to activate the required training over the next 6 months so that we can enter our 2015 financial year sitting at the top table with EMC and in a position to assure our EMC customers that we truly are experts in the field.”
