These are exciting times for SCC. After a year of intense activity working on our Pan Government Accredited Sentinel by SCC, the cornerstone of OptimiseCloud™, we’ve learned that we’ve been shortlisted for the Security Innovation of the Year category at the UK IT Industry Awards 2012.
Organised by Computing and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, the awards represent one of the key highlights of the industry’s year, serving as a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. As one of the technology business’ most prestigious events the competition is intense in every category, and we’re delighted to discover that becoming the first UK provider to achieve accreditation for our secure public sector cloud platform has been recognised in this manner.
According to the judging panel both the quality and quantity of entries has increased this year. With judges reporting that they’ve had a particularly tough time choosing the 2012 finalists, our nomination serves as a real tribute to the OptimiseCloud™ team that worked so hard on delivering the innovative new platform.
But don’t just take our word for it. Commenting on the nominations announcement, Computing editor Stuart Sumner said: “I would like to congratulate the finalists. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged and to be announced as a finalist is a great achievement.”
The eventual winners will be announced at a lavish prize-giving ceremony in London’s Battersea Park Arena on Wednesday 14 November 2012. Fingers crossed …
