SCC and Symantec, the global leader in security, backup and availability solutions, have announced the launch of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution offering. This offering has been designed to help enterprise organisations in the UK to cope with the security and logistical challenges posed by the proliferating use of smart phones and tablet computers in the workplace.
SCC, Europe’s largest independent technology solutions provider has launched the hosted service in response to growing demand from private and public sector clients across the UK. These businesses have a pressing need for tools capable of managing organisation-wide strategies to support, police and protect the sensitive data that matters to an organisation and is increasingly accessed through mobile devices. The cloud-based service makes Symantec’s Mobile Management technology available to SCC’s UK customer base and is hosted and run from SCC’s UK data centre. Symantec’s Mobile Management suite increases IT efficiency with over the air deployment of applications and updates, and improves end user productivity by managing mobile device health.
