Modern Slavery Statement

Specialist Computer Centres plc (t/a SCC) is Europe’s largest privately-owned IT Services business. SCC is the technology division of Rigby Group (RG) plc, the parent company for a portfolio of businesses operating across Europe and the Middle East.

SCC directly and indirectly sources products and services from a significant number of global manufacturers and suppliers, but primarily from established technology brands and reputable UK-based distribution channels.

While the risk of slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour within this supply chain is deemed low, SCC has resolved to communicate with all of its suppliers to confirm its expectations in terms of compliance with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act.

Given the global nature of SCC’s extended partner network, SCC is aware of the potential risk of modern slavery in the greater supply chain to its suppliers, and is therefore setting out its requirements to its own direct supply chain via formal written communications which will be sent to all of SCC’s suppliers in the first quarter of SCC’s financial year 2019/2020.

Where SCC identifies any evidence or risk of non-compliance, SCC will introduce measures to reduce and eradicate the risk or actual non-compliance.

With regard to its own workforce, SCC conducts pre-employment screening processes for all new employees and contractors, ensuring original identification documents are presented in order to verify their right to work in the UK.
