SCC delivers Private Cloud AI deployment for major UK public sector organisation
SCC has announced the successful delivery of a first-of-its-kind HPE Private Cloud AI (PCAI) solution for a major UK public sector organisation. The project represents one of the earliest production-grade PCAI deployments in the UK and a significant step forward for secure and sovereign AI adoption within government.
The organisation, a nationally significant public body operating in a highly regulated environment, required a secure, high‑assurance platform that uses AI to help evaluate other AIs in a secure, regulator grade environment where sensitivity of data, models, and IP is paramount. Its teams are facing rapid growth in the number of AI‑powered technologies emerging across the UK, alongside rising expectations for faster assessment and implementation.
After assessing a range of approaches, including public cloud solutions, the organisation selected HPE Private Cloud AI, built on the latest RTX architecture & delivered by SCC. Our approach complemented its public cloud strategy while leading with private, secure AI. The programme began in May 2025, delivered by specialist SCC and HPE teams in close partnership and aligned to public sector procurement requirements.
The platform will now play a significant role in helping the organisation accelerate its ability to assess new and emerging technologies. As the volume and complexity of AI‑enabled products continues to rise, the new infrastructure will support faster evaluation and improved oversight, while maintaining the security and assurance expected of a national regulator.
SCC and HPE will continue to work with the organisation on future phases, including strategic adoption workshops, ongoing platform expansion, and additional use cases that will further extend the value of the PCAI environment.
