SCC has assisted in the relocation of CEVA Logistics production systems in the UK to a fully hosted and robust Data Centre environment. Business driven, security and web based service management guarantee both performance and capacity reporting. Moreover, flexible power management has reduced CEVA Logistics consumption by an average of some 37%.
The Solution
SCC worked closely with the in house IT team to plan and implement the relocation of the production server system and SAN infrastructure, to the new fully hosted Data Centre environment. The solution utilises HP replication technology (EVA CA) and VMWare to provide migration methodology and planned Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities. Fully managed security and internet based services guarantee performance and capacity reporting. The new environment also leverages a ‘High Density’ rack design, flexible power management and virtual server platform - running VMware, Red Prarrie and Oracle. There is provision to migrate all core data and services to the new hosted solution.
